Bottom Cover (BOT)
Protect the bottom surface and sides of your Y Flyer sailboat from dirt, tar, and flying stones while trailing or storing. Sailors' Tailor now uses a superior polyester material that is exceptionally tough and specially finished to our specifications. This 100% polyester army duck is non-shrinking, non-stretching, non-absorbent, and mildew resistant. It offers an excellent combination of water repellency and abrasion resistance, making it outstanding for trailing and highly resistant to sun's UV damage. This material lasts longer than acrylic or canvas.
The bottom cover features a 5/16" elastic shock cord in the hem to secure it to the deck (around the perimeter) and webbing loops with tie cords across the deck. It is designed with several screen-covered drain holes and reinforcements where needed. The cover is sewn with PTFE thread that will not deteriorate in the sun for the life of the cover.
