Cockpit Cover (COC)
A cockpit cover protects the cockpit from rain and sun. It is designed to fit over the boom, which extends from the mast to the back of the boat. The boom tent has snaps down the front of the mast, and a zipper that closes the back end around the backstay. The cover also has reinforcements over the gooseneck and the outhaul, which are parts of the boom that connect to the mast and the sail. The cover has five grommets along the edge, which can be tied to the deck hardware or to the trailer for extra security. The back end of the cover is closed.
